British Member of Parliament Simon Hoar has proposed canceling the state visit of King Charles III to the USA. This opinion was expressed by the parliamentarian on the social network X.

Hoar called for the cancellation of King Charles III's state visit to the USA against the backdrop of actions by American President Donald Trump, who on Saturday, January 17, announced the introduction of a 10 percent tariff in February against several European Union (EU) countries, as well as against Norway and the United Kingdom, which are not part of the EU.

"The civilized world can no longer tolerate Mr. Trump. He behaves like a gangster-pirate," the parliamentarian believes.

Earlier, the leader of the Democratic Party in the US Congress, Chuck Schumer, stated that members of his party would block President Donald Trump's initiative due to his "Don Quixote-like" attempt to acquire Greenland. Schumer announced the introduction of a bill in the Senate aimed at preventing the imposition of tariffs against several European countries and to avert "further damage to the American economy and allies in Europe."
