The two Norwegian soldiers will assist the "two dog sleds" in Greenland, which U.S. President Donald Trump mocked.

This is reported by VG, citing the Norwegian Ministry of Defense. The agency noted that NATO is engaged in dialogue about strengthening security in the Arctic, including in areas of Greenland and around it.

"No conclusions have been made yet, but we are conducting assessments in dialogue with allies. In this context, Norway has decided to send two soldiers to Greenland to further develop cooperation between allies," said Defense Minister Tore Sandvik.

In his recent posts, Trump reacted to a report from Danish intelligence for 2025, which mentions increased military activity from Russia and China in the Arctic region and around Greenland in particular. In this regard, he urged the country to "immediately get out" of the island, as its "two dog sleds" would not be able to handle its defense. According to him, this is only within the purview of the United States. "NATO, tell Denmark to get out of here, now!" he addressed the alliance.
