Trump: The U.S. has abandoned a new attack on Venezuela due to future cooperation.

The United States has abandoned a new wave of attacks on Venezuela, as the parties agreed on future cooperation in the oil and gas sector. This was stated by the country's president, Donald Trump, on his Truth Social page.

"Thanks to this cooperation, I have canceled the previously anticipated second wave of attacks [on Venezuela], which now seems unnecessary," he noted.

According to Trump, the United States will actively participate in the restoration and modernization of Venezuela's oil and gas infrastructure. Major American companies are expected to invest at least $100 billion in these projects.

Earlier, American Senator Bernie Sanders called Trump's actions regarding Venezuela "old-fashioned imperialism." He compared the current administration's policy to the colonial practices of Great Britain, Spain, and Portugal in past centuries.
