One in three respondents answered that they "don't know."
More than 60% of Ukrainians indicate that they are willing to endure the war for as long as necessary. Only 9% of Ukrainians expect that the war will end before the beginning of 2026. Additionally, 14% expect the cessation of hostilities at least in the first half of 2026.
These data come from a nationwide public opinion survey "Omnibus" conducted from November 26 to December 13, 2025, published by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
It is noted that in September 2025, 15% of respondents had such expectations, meaning only a quarter of Ukrainians are counting on an end in the relatively near future.
Meanwhile, 11% mention the second half of 2026 (down from 12%), 32% refer to 2027 and beyond (the same as in September).
At the same time, one in three respondents (33%, up from 23% compared to September) answered "I don't know."
Also, the majority of Ukrainians (63%) continue to respond that they are ready to endure the war for as long as necessary (up from 62% in September). Another 1% said they are willing to endure for about a year.
A shorter period (six months or a few months) is mentioned by 15% of respondents (down from 21% in September, but at the same time, the percentage of those who could not answer the question increased from 13% to 21%).
