Bloomberg: Germany to Approve Military Procurement Package Worth 52 Billion Euros.

Germany is preparing to approve the largest defense procurement package in its history, amounting to 52 billion euros. This was reported by Bloomberg.

"Next week, German lawmakers intend to approve 29 contracts for military procurement for a record amount of 52 billion euros," the report said.

It is reported that 22 billion euros will be allocated for basic military equipment and supplies, 4.2 billion for Puma infantry fighting vehicles, 3 billion for interceptor missiles and launchers of the Arrow 3 air defense system, and another 1.6 billion for reconnaissance satellites.

Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Europe needs to become less dependent on the United States and take responsibility for saving democracy itself. "I do not see the need for Americans to want to save democracy in Europe. If it were necessary, we would handle it ourselves," the politician said.
