Rubio, Whitcoff, and Kushner to Meet with Ukrainian Delegation 0 132

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff will meet with a Ukrainian delegation in Florida on November 30 to discuss Washington's plan for ending Russia's war against Ukraine. This was reported on the evening of Saturday, November 29, by AFP, citing an unnamed U.S. official.

A similar report was disseminated by Reuters, citing an unnamed high-ranking government representative in the U.S. Both agencies indicate that Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will also be present at these negotiations.

Zelensky Confirms Upcoming Arrival of Kyiv Delegation in Florida

Earlier on the same day, November 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Telegram that the Ukrainian delegation is expected to arrive in the U.S. by the evening of November 29 local time. "The dialogue based on the points (of the peace plan - Ed.) from Geneva will continue. Diplomacy will remain active. The American side demonstrates a constructive approach, and it is quite realistic to finalize steps in the coming days to determine how to honorably end the war. The Ukrainian delegation has the necessary directives, and I expect the team to work in accordance with clear Ukrainian priorities," he wrote in both Ukrainian and English.

The Ukrainian delegation will be led by the country's National Security Secretary Rustem Umerov, instead of the former head of the Ukrainian president's office Andriy Yermak, who resigned on November 28 amid a corruption scandal.

Zelensky's Meeting with Macron in Paris

Meanwhile, the Élysée Palace announced that on December 1, Zelensky is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. Their discussion is expected to focus on "conditions for a fair and lasting peace" in Ukraine, according to the press service of the French head of state.

Negotiations in Geneva, the U.S. peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine, and "close coordination" of positions with Ukraine's European allies will also be discussed.

Arrival of U.S. Delegation for Talks in Moscow

On November 27, at a press conference in Bishkek, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that a U.S. delegation would arrive in Moscow for negotiations "early next week," meaning in the first days of December.

According to Putin, the negotiators from Russia will be his aides Vladimir Medinsky and Yuri Ushakov, as well as representatives from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, Donald Trump also informed reporters about the likely meeting between Whitcoff and Putin next week. According to the U.S. president, his son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner will also participate in this meeting.
