Bloomberg: France, Britain, and Germany rejected key points of the US plan for Ukraine.
The United Kingdom, Germany, and France, together with Ukraine, have begun working on their own peace plan to resolve the conflict in response to the US document. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.
"Ukraine, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom are working on a counterproposal in response to the US-supported peace settlement plan for Kyiv," the agency quoted three unnamed sources as saying.
One of the interlocutors also mentioned that the counterproposal might "include other countries in Europe."
Earlier, it became known that the US plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine caught Europe off guard. It was reported that foreign ministries in Europe and other countries had approached US authorities for clarification. However, they received a response that officials from the State Department and the US Congress "are also in the dark."
