The explosion was so strong that it was heard even in neighboring settlements, and the glow from the fire is visible from several kilometers away, writes Korrespondent.
In the village of Rostovka in the Omsk region of the Russian Federation, a gas pipeline exploded and caught fire. This was reported by Russian media and social media users on the night of Tuesday, November 18.
It is noted that residents of the village, which is a suburb of Omsk, heard a powerful explosion. It was so strong that it was heard even in neighboring settlements, and the glow from the fire can be seen from several kilometers away.
Local governor Vitaly Khotsenko stated that, according to preliminary information, there are no casualties. One version suggests that there was a gas leak from the pipeline. Specialists from emergency services are working at the scene. The causes are being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
Recall that last week, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an agent of the Russian military intelligence who was preparing to blow up a main gas pipeline in eastern Ukraine.
