Airline ticket prices continue to fluctuate, and people are increasingly looking for ways to buy flights without overpaying. Experts from travel platforms have analyzed fare dynamics and named the days of the week when tickets are the cheapest.

Airlines use dynamic pricing: the cost depends on demand, flight load, and buyer activity. On weekdays, corporate clients make more bookings, especially on short routes, which pushes fares up. On weekends, the demand structure changes - therefore, noticeable price reductions are possible.

An analysis of bookings for 2026 shows a difference between weekdays of up to 10–15%.

Wednesday has become the most unfavorable day for purchasing, as it sees a peak in business flights.

One should also not expect savings on Tuesday and Saturday: fares on these days are most often stable or increased.

Sunday is slightly more advantageous - about 5% cheaper than Wednesday.

The greatest savings, according to experts, are observed at the end of the workweek:

Friday - up to 13% cheaper than Wednesday. Despite the popularity of travel, prices drop due to the increase in the number of flights and destinations.

Thursday - also shows lower fares compared to the midweek level.

Although dynamic fares change daily, booking airline tickets on Thursday or Friday most often allows for significant cost reductions. And for those planning a trip in advance, choosing the right day of the week becomes an easy way to save without compromising comfort.
