Dozens of trains stopped in Europe due to railway theft

Novinky: Dozens of trains in Czech Republic stopped due to railway theft.

In northeastern Czech Republic, dozens of trains were stopped due to a theft on the railway. This was reported by the local publication Novinky.

On the evening of Sunday, November 2, cables from systems that ensure railway movement were stolen on the section of railway between the cities of Olomouc and Ostrava. As a result, train movement was halted for several hours, affecting hundreds of passengers. The issues with railway transport were only resolved on Monday.

The police detained three individuals suspected of stealing cables necessary for controlling switches, signals, and other infrastructure that ensures the safe movement of trains.
