Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko described Ukraine's situation ahead of the upcoming winter as difficult. He shared this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, this will be the most challenging heating season in recent years due to massive attacks on heat-generating facilities. Moreover, due to constant disruptions in energy supply and rising prices, factories in the country may close.
Earlier, The New York Times reported that this winter households in Ukraine risk being left without adequate heating, and factories may shut down due to electricity outages and rising prices. According to the publication, difficulties may arise due to damage to gas facilities. The country lacks billions of euros for the restoration of energy infrastructure and the purchase of energy resources.
