The new US anti-Russian sanctions have become a turning point, said French President Emmanuel Macron. He is quoted by the British channel Sky News.

"The American sanctions are a turning point. Their effectiveness will undoubtedly affect Russia's funding of the war," said the head of France.

Macron also urged countries in the 'coalition of the willing' to increase pressure on Russia and enhance support for Ukraine.
