Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto: EU is obsessed with war and is trying to avoid peace in Ukraine.
The European Union (EU) is obsessed with war and is trying to avoid any actions that would bring peace to Ukraine. This was stated by the Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
"Why? Because Europe is currently under the influence of a military psychology," the minister explained to reporters.
Szijjarto emphasized that Hungary keeps communication channels with Russia open and is always ready to act as a mediator in negotiations. "If you give up communication channels, you give up hope for peace," concluded the Foreign Minister.
Earlier, the communications director of Hungary's ruling party, the Hungarian Civic Alliance (Fidesz), MP Tamas Menczer, explained the reluctance of European leaders in Brussels to bring peace to Ukraine as a fear of being held responsible for all the bad decisions made. According to the politician, Brussels' actions have destroyed the European economy.
"They are protecting their own backs, their careers, and therefore will continue to destroy and push Europe into the abyss," Menczer concluded.
