Zelensky: Trump proposed a decent compromise, but I'm not sure Putin will support it

According to the president, Trump's proposal to stop on the battlefield at the lines where each army is located is decent.

U.S. President Donald Trump proposed a decent compromise regarding the war, but there is no certainty that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will support it. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Norway.

"We had more than two hours of conversation on various topics with many details. Yes, I think, you know, the most important details we discussed were how to defend ourselves, how to maintain unity and security guarantees from the U.S., which is important, and security guarantees for Ukraine's future. And how to now move towards political solutions, that is, peace negotiations, a diplomatic path, how to stop Putin," the president said.

Zelensky noted that Trump's proposal to stop on the battlefield at the lines where each army is located is decent.

"Trump suggested staying where we are and starting negotiations. I think it was a decent compromise, but I'm not sure Putin will support it. And I told the president this," the head of state said.
