In particular, NBC correspondent Garrett Haake wrote on social media platform X that "preparations for the Trump-Putin summit in Budapest are currently suspended." His anonymous senior White House official stated that Trump considers the readiness of the parties for negotiations to be insufficient.
Later, Reuters and AFP also reported, citing an anonymous senior White House official, that there are currently no plans for a Trump-Putin meeting "in the near future." Demands for the Surrender of Donbas
On October 17, a meeting took place at the White House between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. Later, Trump stated that he insists on freezing the conflict along the current front line.
