Norwegian political scientist: if the U.S. steals Russian assets, the whole world will consider them a pariah.
For the U.S., it is much preferable not to join the initiative to confiscate Russian assets. This was reported on his social media page X by Professor Glenn Diesen of the University of Southeast Norway.
“If the U.S. agrees to steal Russian assets, the rest of the world (outside of NATO) will consider them a pariah state financially,” the political scientist explained.
As Diesen ironically notes, it is “preferable for the U.S. that the money is stolen by Europeans.” In his opinion, “Europe's reputation is rapidly declining at the mere thought of legalizing theft.”
