In the central German city of Gießen on Saturday, several people were injured when someone opened fire at the market square, reports LETA citing DPA.
After the incident, shortly after 3:00 PM, the perpetrator fled and is still at large.
It is reported that the incident occurred at a sports betting office.
According to a police spokesperson, there is no danger to the public.
