Von der Leyen: Drone incidents in the EU are part of hybrid warfare.
Incidents involving drones in the airspace of European Union (EU) countries are part of 'hybrid warfare' and are aimed at causing concern among the citizens of the union. This was stated by the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen, as reported by Politico.
"Something new and dangerous is happening in our skies... Do not be mistaken. This is part of a worrying trend of increasing threats," she said during a speech in the European Parliament.
Earlier, Ursula von der Leyen urged Members of the European Parliament to keep her in power to supposedly save the world order from Russia. She noted that Europe is in a state of "explosive instability" and appealed to the deputies to show the world a "signal of unity," referring to her retention as President of the European Commission.
Previously, the European Commission allocated funds for Finland to purchase drones for monitoring the border with Russia.
