The President of Georgia Reveals the Organizers of the Unrest in Tbilisi

Kavelashvili: participants of the rally in Tbilisi are managed by foreign intelligence services.

Participants of the rally in Tbilisi, which took place on Saturday, October 4, are being managed by foreign intelligence services. This was stated by the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili.

According to him, the participants of the unrest acted with the aim of overthrowing the government, and society witnessed acts of vandalism and calls for action. "There are still forces in Georgia operating under the control of foreign intelligence services," the head of state added.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, accused the European Union (EU) ambassador in Tbilisi, Pawel Herczynski, of being involved in the unrest. "You know that some foreigners even directly supported the attempt to overthrow the constitutional order, including a representative of the EU," Kobakhidze emphasized.

He added that the EU diplomat bears "special responsibility" for the unrest in Tbilisi.
