Legendary Hollywood actor Michael Douglas has become the official ambassador of Mallorca. The 81-year-old artist attended the ceremonial event with his 23-year-old daughter Carys, who is increasingly building her own acting career.
81-year-old Michael Douglas received the honorary title of ambassador of Mallorca — in recognition of his long-standing attachment to the island and his contribution to preserving its cultural heritage.
At the ceremony, the actor appeared with his 23-year-old daughter Carys, born from his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones. The young woman chose an elegant look: a black top with thin straps and a long skirt with a lace hem, complementing her outfit with golden sandals, a small bag, and minimalist jewelry. Douglas himself was dressed in a white shirt, a dark blue suit without a tie, and classic shoes.
Michael Douglas purchased a villa in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca back in 1989. On the estate, he established vineyards that produce local wine, and over the decades, he has become a prominent figure in the social and cultural life of Valldemossa. It is for this long-standing activity that the actor was awarded the honorary status of ambassador of the island.
Meanwhile, Carys continues to follow in the footsteps of her famous parents. Last year, she graduated from Brown University, where she studied film and international relations, and this summer she made her professional theater debut in New York.

The young actress played the role of Nina Zarechnaya in a production of Anton Chekhov's play "The Seagull." Before her, this character was portrayed by such well-known actresses as Helen Mirren, Natalie Portman, Saoirse Ronan, Emilia Clarke, and Carey Mulligan. According to Carys, her parents are very proud of her first significant success in theater.
While Michael Douglas receives recognition for his contributions to the development of Mallorca, his daughter is taking her first confident steps in her profession. Apparently, the acting dynasty of the Douglas-Zeta-Jones family is receiving a worthy continuation.
