Thousands of People Want to Implant a Chip from Musk 0 18

Thousands of people are waiting in line to receive a Neuralink implant. This was reported by The Independent.

Neuralink President Dongjin Seo stated that there are about 10,000 people on the long list for the chip from entrepreneur Elon Musk's company. A representative of the firm explained that anyone interested can apply for chipping through a form in the 'Patient Registry' section on the Neuralink website. The company opened this opportunity in 2025.

Currently, Neuralink has managed to implant 12 patients. It is likely that by the end of the year, the company will perform surgery on another 13 in need. As of mid-2025, only candidates with paralysis due to issues such as motor neuron disease or spinal cord injury were allowed to undergo the procedure.

Immediately after the start of chipping operations, Dongjin Seo instructed Neuralink to develop its own surgical robot. Otherwise, the company simply would not be able to chip all those who wanted it. In April, Musk stated that robots would surpass the best human surgeons in about five years.
