Neuralink will publish its first scientific work on human chipping.
Elon Musk's company Neuralink will publish its research on human chipping for the first time. This was reported by Bloomberg.
The scientific article has been submitted to The New England Journal of Medicine. Michael Lawton, president of the Barrow Neurological Institute and the Neuralink clinical trials center, stated that the material discusses the first three patients who received brain implants.
According to open data, Musk's company has already chipped 12 individuals. However, the firm has not yet published data on its research in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Bloomberg authors noted that outside experts will be able to independently assess the startup's progress.
"Neuralink has a vision of how to use connectivity for practically anyone who may need it," Lawton emphasized. However, he believes that the company is still far from offering its services to healthy individuals. "Neuralink specialists have been very carefully focused on patients with disabilities," the expert concluded.
