Elon Musk announced that the online encyclopedia Grokipedia created by his company xAI will launch in two weeks, initially in beta version.
According to the billionaire, the project will be "significantly better than Wikipedia" and will help xAI get closer to its main goal - "understanding the universe."
Musk described Grokipedia as an open-source knowledge repository with no usage restrictions. There are few details so far, but in the All-In podcast, he clarified that the Grok model will be able to assess the credibility of information, highlight false or incomplete data, and rewrite texts, removing inaccuracies and adding context.
Previously, Musk has repeatedly criticized Wikipedia for its "political bias." In 2023, he even offered to donate $1 billion to it if the project was renamed to Dickipedia. And in early 2025, he called the encyclopedia a "propagandistic offshoot of leftist media" and urged to withdraw its funding.
Earlier, we reported that Musk became the first person in history whose wealth reached $500 billion. If Musk's income continues to grow at this rate, he could become the world's first trillionaire by March 2033.
