The first two hours of voting in the elections for the 15th Saeima went smoothly. According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), no problems have been recorded at polling stations during this time.
CEC representative Iveta Rozenfelde reported that voting is proceeding normally across the country. The commission continues to monitor the progress of the elections and is receiving information from the polling stations promptly.
The digital voting platform is also functioning steadily. As stated by the head of cooperation projects at the Administrative Department of the State Agency for Digital Development (SADR) Agnese Tkachenko, the system is operating according to plan.
According to her, staff at individual polling stations are contacting the support service with questions about working with the system; however, these inquiries are of a consultative nature and are not related to technical malfunctions.
The technical team of SADR and call center specialists continue to support the work of the electoral commissions and provide assistance as needed.
Earlier, law enforcement agencies also reported that during the verification of received signals of violations that could affect the voting process, no issues have been identified so far. The verification of some reports is ongoing.
