A group from the Saeima of Latvia visited China for cooperation with the National People's Congress. Upon returning from China, independent deputy Alexander Kiršteins shared his conclusions on the social network X: "I am concerned about the growing technological gap between the EU and us compared to China. The delegation from the cooperation group and entrepreneurs from the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was able to visit the free economic zones. There, we saw how we would look without the parties of lackeys (serfs). Bridges over the Daugava would be built in 2-3 months, and Rail Baltica in a couple of years!"
