Partners in power will also discuss the most urgent priorities of the new government.

It is expected that at the upcoming coalition council, partners will discuss how to 'newly' divide the 52 million saved by the ministries, which has already been divided by the previous government, but... ultimately, the budget commission of the Saeima rejected this plan for dividing the 'extra' money. It can be assumed that the coalition will approve the redistribution of these funds only for the most urgent needs. Moreover, it is likely that not all 52 million will be divided, but rather around 45 million. The remaining funds may be directed to the contingency fund.

Partners in the new government will also discuss the Ministry of Economics' proposal to extend the reduction of the excise tax on fuel.

Apparently, the ruling parties will agree to adopt a new Immigration Law before the Saeima goes on summer recess. The new law is intended to tighten the rules for entry and stay in Latvia for citizens of third countries.

Government partners plan to discuss urgent priorities, namely the issues that need to be resolved before the elections - in particular, the restructuring of airBaltic and the financing of Rail Baltica.
