The ruling coalition will return to the topic of reorganizing the Ministry of Communications.

It is expected that at the upcoming coalition council, the 'green farmers' will try to persuade their partners to agree to start a discussion in the government and the Saeima about the second pension level and, in particular, about granting Latvians the right to choose funds in the second pension level at least for medical treatment. However, it is already practically clear that the partners in power will be categorically against this initiative from the 'green farmers'. They are also not inclined to support the 'green farmers' fixed idea of temporarily reducing VAT on fuel - this proposal was also requested by the 'green farmers' to be included in the agenda of the coalition council.

Apparently, the partners will return to the topic of a possible reorganization of the Ministry of Communications. Recall that this was one of the conditions set by the 'green farmers' - otherwise, they would not agree to vote for the issuance of a loan to airBaltic.

The ruling parties are also preparing to revisit the issue of liquidating the Integration Fund with the transfer of some of its functions to the Ministry of Culture.

The ruling parties intend to discuss possible support measures for the population and businesses in the upcoming heating season if energy prices rise in light of the prolonged conflict in the Persian Gulf. However, business support will be needed even before the heating season - if fuel prices skyrocket.
