Political scientist Ilze Ostrovska expressed her strong opinion on the migration issue on the social network X: "Is it really so difficult to make the decision to close the border to any arrivals - legal or illegal? And there is no need to talk about a labor shortage - the streets are full of people during the day who are not working anywhere. Until they are all engaged in work or sitting in lectures at universities, the borders should be closed."
