France will significantly increase the number of nuclear warheads and will involve other EU countries in joint exercises, said French President E. Macron.
"We must think in terms of deterrence across the entire European continent," explained the President of France.
He listed the members of the European 'nuclear fist': Britain, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, and Denmark will join France's new 'advanced nuclear doctrine.' These countries will be able to participate in joint nuclear exercises with France.
France plans to launch a program for the development of new hypersonic missiles this year. It will no longer report on the number of its nuclear warheads.
It should be noted that increasing the nuclear arsenal requires very large expenditures. At the same time, France is currently facing significant budget problems.
In this regard, Macron promoted the idea of joint financing by all of Europe for the increase in the number of nuclear warheads in France. However, this idea has not yet received support from other countries.
