The Ministry of Defense will make a contribution of 10 million euros to the NATO initiative "PURL" in 2026.
The funding will be provided from the budget subprogram "Maintenance of National Armed Forces," reports tv3.lv.
The contribution will be made to support NATO's common initiatives and strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
The ministry notes that the aim of the contribution is to ensure Latvia's active participation in the alliance's initiatives and to promote regional security.
