Parliamentarians in committees will discuss drug control, the situation in airBaltic, and the 'drone wall.'

At the beginning of next week, deputies working in the Saeima Defense and Internal Affairs Committee will visit a prison. Specifically, the Ilguciems women's prison. No, the purpose of the visit for the servants of the people is not to prepare for a possible 'imprisonment', but to discuss the situation in places of detention.

In turn, deputies from two subcommittees - on constitutional and judicial policy and on criminal and judicial policy - will hold an off-site meeting at the economic court, where the issues related to the consideration of crimes in the economic and financial sphere will be discussed.

The Budget and Finance Committee will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, February 10, in a secret (closed) mode - parliamentarians will be informed about the real financial situation in airBaltic and its prospects. It should be noted that Prime Minister Evika Silina recently did not rule out that the state might again have to invest funds in the national airline.

The Social Affairs Committee will discuss the situation with the spread of drugs in the country and the measures to combat this drug epidemic.

Deputies from the subcommittee on comprehensive defense will discuss the development of our armed forces, particularly projects for the protection of the eastern border and the creation of a 'drone wall.'
