Former minister and former deputy of the capital's council Edmunds Krastiņš agreed in an interview with TV-24 with the Canadian Prime Minister, who openly stated at the Davos Forum that the previous world order is no more.
"There is no longer Article 5 of the NATO Charter, international law, strategic partnership with the USA... We are faced with the unknown," the ex-politician noted pessimistically and emphasized that for small Latvia, it is very important to understand whom to lean on, whom to "bribe" so that, for example, the USA would protect us.
"Well, maybe if we support awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump, he will remember this and the USA will come to our aid," Edmunds Krastiņš said half-jokingly, half-seriously.
