The mayor of Ogre commented on the plan to combat bureaucracy.
The head of the Ogre municipality, Egils Helmanis, critically assessed the government's efforts to tame bureaucracy in an interview with TV-24: "If bureaucrats are tasked with fighting bureaucracy, it is akin to suicide. It is clear how they will actually 'fight'. First, they will create a commission, then a committee to combat bureaucracy. The committee will establish a working group. This will take 3 years, and then this struggle will continue for another 30 years."
