It cannot be ruled out that there will be an exchange of views on 'language' proposals at the coalition council.

At the upcoming coalition meeting, politicians are expected to discuss the transfer of the 'Gors' concert hall in Rezekne under state control. The municipality can no longer maintain this cultural institution, which is operating at a loss.

The ruling parties will also exchange views on the 'criminalization' of cartels. 'New Unity' and 'Progressives' believe that participation in a cartel agreement should be subject to criminal liability. The 'Green Farmers' do not support such a radical option, and they are also against attempts to legally allow the use of operational materials within criminal proceedings and for other criminal and administrative processes!

The ruling parties will discuss tightening migration legislation - in particular, they want to make control over the invitation of students from third countries to Latvian universities stricter. The partners will also discuss coalition discipline - the necessity to ensure a coalition majority at the plenary sessions of the Saeima. Due to the ruling parties being in the minority, the adoption of the new Immigration Law in its second reading had to be postponed for the second time.

It is possible that the ruling parties will discuss the proposal of the Chairman of the National Council for Electronic Media, Ivars Abolins, to no longer extend licenses for commercial radio stations broadcasting in Russian.
