The first plenary session of the Saeima this year began with a protest from the right opposition.
So today, the opposition - this time represented by the National Alliance and the United List - demanded a vote of no confidence in the head of government. The reason, however, is clearly far-fetched - for the fact that public media still prepare programs (albeit only online) and texts in Russian, which does not comply with the recommendations contained in the national security concept.
The outcome was also obvious: the initiative to dismiss Silina was rejected. It was only supported by those deputies who put forward this initiative.
The deputies of 'Latvia First' and 'Stability!' did not participate in the vote - Silina deserves to be dismissed, but not because of language.
