Employees of the Ministry of Communications received a total of €266,565 in cash bonuses and performance awards last year, the ministry reported to the LETA agency.
In 2025, cash bonuses amounted to €89,693, while bonuses for achieving individual goals in 2024 totaled €176,872.
The ministry indicated that in December 2025, cash bonuses from state budget subsidies were not paid; however, €8,518 was disbursed from technical support funds.
Meanwhile, the decision regarding bonuses for achieving last year's goals has not yet been made.
The ministry explained that in accordance with regulations and internal rules of the Ministry of Communications, cash bonuses are awarded to employees who have made a significant personal contribution to the completion of specific tasks, while performance bonuses are provided to employees based on the achievement of tasks set during the evaluation period, the results achieved, and the development of competencies.
