Ainars Šlesers is preparing an appeal to the President of Latvia.
Ainars Šlesers at today's congress of his party 'Latvia First' stated that if the current government collapses, he is ready to take the initiative to form a new government - even under the current Saeima.
"I intend to appeal to the president with a call that if today's government ceases to exist, I am ready to become the prime minister in the new government," said Ainars Šlesers, reminding that according to public opinion polls, he is the most popular candidate for prime minister, and the party 'Latvia First' became the most popular in the country in October.
Šlesers promised to make every effort to unite the Latvian people - Latvians and representatives of national minorities, as well as to protect traditional values.
