On Friday, a decrease in air temperature and strengthening of the west wind is expected in Latvia. Brief rains are possible in some areas, and thunderstorms are not ruled out in the east of the country at night.
According to forecasters, it will become cooler in Latvia over the next 24 hours. The sky will be partly cloudy.
During the night, brief rains are expected in some eastern regions, while thunderstorms may occur in Latgale and Selonia. During the day, brief precipitation is forecasted in parts of Kurzeme and Vidzeme.
The west and southwest winds will strengthen: gusts of 11–16 meters per second are expected at the coast during the night, and by day this wind will spread across the entire country.
At night, the air temperature will be +13...+18 degrees, and during the day it will warm up to +19...+24 degrees.
In Riga, there will be variable cloudiness throughout the day with no significant precipitation. Gusts of west and southwest winds will increase to 14 meters per second. At night, the temperature will drop to +16 degrees, and during the day the air will warm up to +23 degrees.
After several warm days, fresher and windier weather will arrive in Latvia, but the daytime temperature will remain comfortable for August.
