Riga Pride Week has begun, featuring cultural, educational, and entertainment events for residents and visitors. The main event will be the Riga Pride 2026 parade, which will take place on Saturday in the city center.

This week, the Latvian capital is hosting the Riga Pride 2026 festival, which brings together dozens of events dedicated to human rights, equality, and diversity issues.

The festival program includes discussions, lectures, film screenings, creative workshops, and musical events. Organizers have prepared both educational events and informal meetings for various audiences.

The focus will be on topics such as sexual health, gender equality, human rights, and other issues relevant to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Visitors will be able to participate in art activities, music quizzes, an open mic night, and a number of other events taking place at various venues across the city.

The main event of the week will be the Riga Pride 2026 parade, scheduled for June 13. Participants will march through the center of Riga, after which the celebration will continue at the Esplanade, where a concert and the concluding part of the day's program will take place.

In recent years, Pride in Riga has become one of the largest public events dedicated to issues of equality and inclusivity, attracting both locals and visitors from other countries.

The festival takes place at several cultural venues in the capital, including Kaņepes Kultūras centrs, Kino Bize cinema, and Skapis cultural space.

Organizers note that the program combines cultural events, public discussions, and networking opportunities, allowing attendees to explore various aspects of contemporary urban and social life.

The festival will conclude on June 14 with a screening of the film "Sex. Men's Conversations."

Thus, throughout the week, Riga will serve as a platform for cultural events and public discussions dedicated to issues of equality, human rights, and diversity.
