On Tuesday, the government supported amendments to the legislation requiring law enforcement agencies to certify special devices and software purchased outside the European Union and NATO countries with the State Security Service (VDD).
The Ministry of the Interior proposes to establish that operational activity entities, except for state security agencies, are obliged to certify special devices and software purchased in countries outside the EU, the European Economic Area, NATO, or among NATO partners in the Indo-Pacific region with the VDD.
In addition, the Ministry of the Interior proposes to include in the law a provision stating that operational activity entities must notify the VDD at least once a year about the special devices and software in their possession, providing the corresponding list.
