It is not very clear why to fly from Riga to Warsaw with a layover in Copenhagen (!), but this is exactly the type of ticket purchased by a resident of Latvia, who does not hide his overwhelming emotions.
"I just can't anymore. airBaltic, YOU ...AND!!! I just lent you 30 million - and this is your gratitude??? Do you know that there's nothing to see in Warsaw? It's not Thailand. KURWA!!!" - wrote Kaspars on the platform "X", attaching a screenshot of the booked tickets.
The screenshot shows that the flight to Warsaw takes 13 hours and costs from 240 euros 99 cents, while the return to Riga, also with a layover in Copenhagen, takes 13 hours 55 minutes and costs from 370 euros 99 cents. The total amount at the bottom is 1223 euros 96 cents - Kaspars explained that he booked two tickets for July. According to him, the situation is no better on other days.
He is advised to travel by car or bus, while some commentators feel sorry for Warsaw - there is indeed a lot to see there. Others urge to temper the outrage over the loan of 30 million euros.
Here are some responses to his tweet:
- airBaltic flies direct flights on Mondays and Fridays; 2) why book with a layover when you can fly with LOT; 3) if you fly with LOT and book a few days before the flight, it will be at least 350 euros one way. I fly to Warsaw 1-2 times a month. I don’t understand the fuss or outrage.
And airBaltic is to blame for not flying every day and at every moment when you feel like it? 😀
There is plenty to see in Warsaw, it’s not Thailand, but why fly there longer than it takes to drive? Well, that’s a bit strange.
If you lent someone 30 million, you wouldn’t care about the prices of commercial flights.
By car, it takes 8 hours, about 80-85 EUR.
If you want to buy for the coming days or weeks, all airlines will have such prices. Last seats on the plane. I see no reason for surprise.
It hurts. Warsaw is one of my favorite cities. I try to fly there every year, only the difference is that 2-3 years ago it was 70 euros round trip with Ryanair, and now it’s f*cking how many euros with airBaltic or LOT.
You can now drive to Warsaw in 6 hours - checked at least 4 times this year. And without any hassle. If only Warsaw - by car and only. If further, then you need to calculate the expenses.
Where should I transfer back those 2 euros of your share?
13 hours… it’s faster by car, isn’t it? Maybe even by Flixbus.
You lent not 30 million, but about one millionth of that. It’s divided among about a million taxpayers (or we don’t have that many retirees and children, I don’t know for sure?). Well, in short, you lent some 60 euros - and what can you expect for that?
