Pension and benefit payments in Latvia increased by 5.3 percent over the year and amounted to 844.6 million euros in the first quarter, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia reported to bb.lv.
The average pension in Latvia amounted to 656 euros – this is 8.6% more than in the first quarter of 2025.
And what about the neighbors? In 2026, average old-age pensions in Lithuania and Estonia increased after indexing.
In Estonia, starting from April 1, 2026, the average old-age pension will increase to 860.23 euros, while in Lithuania the average old-age pension will be 750 euros.
