On the Day of Restoration of Independence of Latvia, May 4, public transport in Riga will be free, the company "Rīgas satiksme" informed the LETA agency.
During the holiday weekend from May 1 to May 4, public transport will operate on a weekend schedule.
There will also be changes in the operation of the customer service centers of "Rīgas satiksme" and parking.
On Friday, May 1, and Monday, May 4, parking will be free to use. The exception will be the underground parking on Kr. Valdemara Street, 5A, near the Congress House, where parking fees will apply according to the current rates.
Meanwhile, on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, all parking will operate according to the usual schedule.
