Until Wednesday, April 22, Latvia will have predominantly dry and sunny weather, while in the following days, occasional precipitation and gusty winds are expected, meteorologists forecast.
On Sunday and at the beginning of next week, it will get a bit colder, and temperatures may drop to -4 degrees Celsius on Monday night. The wind will blow from weak to moderate from the north.
Starting Thursday, the weather will often be influenced by cyclones, so gusty winds, precipitation in the form of rain, snow, and hail are expected. Heavy precipitation and temporary snow cover are possible.
On the coldest days, the maximum air temperature across the country will be below +10 degrees Celsius, with slight frost expected on some nights.
According to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, the average temperature in Latvia over the next two weeks will be about two degrees below normal.
