The weekend in Latvia will bring changeable weather — both sun and clouds, with some areas also experiencing light rain.
“There will be a bit of everything — good weather, clouds, and rain,” noted meteorologist TV3 Martin Bergstein, emphasizing that the weather conditions will be varied enough for everyone to find suitable time for rest or work.
On Friday, in the first half of the day, clouds will still dominate the sky, with fog and haze persisting in some areas; however, the weather will gradually improve later. “In the second half of the day and by evening, the sky will start to clear up,” explained Bergstein, adding that the air temperature will reach +10…+15 degrees, with warmer conditions in the south of the country. The wind will be light and from the north.
During the weekend, the most pleasant weather is expected on Saturday, when it will mainly be dry and sunny. “Precipitation is not expected anywhere in the country,” noted the forecaster, allowing only for a brief rain in the east.
On Sunday, there will be more clouds, with brief rain possible in some areas, and it will also become a bit cooler. At the beginning of next week, similar calm weather will persist, but at night, frost is expected in some places down to −2…−3 degrees.
In the second half of the week, a cyclone will approach Latvia, bringing more precipitation, cloudiness, and gusty winds.
