Until March 31, anyone interested can familiarize themselves with the work of organizations providing social assistance to Riga residents.
According to reports, this year it is possible to visit 13 such establishments, including the municipal nursing homes "Mežciems" and "Gailezers", the daytime care center "Chestnut", and private institutions operating under contracts with the magistrate.
Despite this, the waiting list for nursing homes in Riga is approximately one year, as the population is aging and the number of those in need is increasing.
Additionally, the organization providing assistance to the blind and visually impaired has developed an educational game called "Puddle". Sighted individuals will likely be asked to wear opaque glasses, given a cane, and challenged to navigate standard urban obstacles that ordinary residents often overlook, which become a true path of trials for the blind.
