A New Cyclone Approaches Latvia: Meteorologists Reveal What the Easter Weekend Will Be Like

During the Easter weekend, the weather in Latvia may be influenced by two cyclones, leading to intermittent gusty winds and precipitation, according to the latest forecasts, reports LETA.

On Clean Thursday, fog will persist in some areas along the coast, and it is expected during the night and morning in many regions, mainly in the western and central parts of the country. The minimum air temperature at night will be between 0 and -5 degrees, while the maximum during the day will range from +3 degrees in some coastal areas to +13 degrees in Latgale.

On Good Friday, clouds will partially cover the sky over Latvia, with light rain possible in some areas, while Latgale will remain dry and predominantly sunny. The air temperature will be approximately the same as the previous day.

On Holy Saturday, the cyclone will intermittently bring rain, wet snow in some places, and gusts of south-western wind reaching 9–14 meters per second. The air temperature will not exceed +4 to +9 degrees.

On Easter, a new cyclone may arrive, leading to a high likelihood of gusty winds and precipitation, mainly in the form of rain.

According to current forecasts, the next week in Latvia is expected to be cool, with air temperatures often dropping below zero at night.
