On Thursday, the highest air temperature of the week is expected in Latvia, but frosts will persist and a sharp wind will blow, forecasters predict.
Most of the sky will be covered with clouds, and there will be light snow in some areas. Gusts of the eastern wind will reach 9–13 meters per second, and in some regions of Kurzeme, up to 17 meters per second. The wind will blow snow in some places - light drifting snow is expected.
The air temperature at night will continue to rise in many areas and will be -2...-8 degrees on Thursday.
In Riga, predominantly cloudy weather is expected, with no significant precipitation. A moderate eastern wind will blow with gusts up to 11 meters per second. The air temperature will be around -5 degrees.
