Half of Latvia's Residents are Dissatisfied with Their Health - Survey

The majority of Latvia's residents are dissatisfied with their health, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau.

Less than half of Latvia's residents rated their health as good or very good last year. Specifically, 43.7% of respondents described their health as good, while 4.5% rated it as very good.

At the same time, more than half of Latvians are dissatisfied with their health: 36.8% of residents rated their health as average, 12.3% as poor, and 2.7% as very poor.

The best health ratings were given by people aged 16-24. In this age group, 14.1% rated their health as very good and 74.1% as good. Meanwhile, 2.1% consider it poor and 0.1% very poor.

Only 8.9% of people aged 75 and older rate their health as good. In this age group, 47.1% consider their health poor or very poor.
