On the night of Monday, frost up to 20 degrees is expected in eastern Latvia, according to forecasts from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC).
During the night, weather conditions will still be determined by the anticyclone, with clouds only partially covering the sky, and no precipitation expected. The wind will be weak, and in the morning, fog will form in some coastal areas.
In most parts of the territory, the air temperature will drop to −13…−18 degrees, while in some coastal areas it will be slightly warmer — −9…−12 degrees, reports LVĢMC. In the eastern part of the country, with clear skies, the temperature may even drop to −20 degrees.
In Riga, dry weather will persist at night, with clouds only partially covering the sky. A weak wind will blow, and the air temperature will drop to −13…−15 degrees.
On Monday, the sun will often peek through the clouds, and the weather will remain dry. A weak wind will blow, and the thermometer will not rise above −5…−10 degrees.
In Riga, variable cloudiness and dry weather will also persist. A weak wind will blow, and the air temperature will rise to −8…−10 degrees.
